On behalf of myself and our entire staff, welcome to Brown County Middle School. Our highly qualified staff is committed to providing all students with learning opportunities that will allow them to develop their potential and pursue excellence in a safe and positive environment.
Our students will experience lockers and timed passing periods for the first time in their academic lives. Our students will operate on a 6 period day comprised of four core subjects (Language Arts, Science, Math, Social Studies) and two additional electives that may be a trimester or year-long in length. In addition to our academic curriculum, Brown County Middle School offers students the opportunity to participate in many extracurricular programs such as sports, clubs, and academic teams.
Brown County Middle School is an Indiana Department of Education STEM Certified School committed to the integration of science, technology, engineering, and math throughout the entire curriculum. As a STEM school, we embrace the STEM model of teaching which emphasizes student inquiry, problem solving, collaboration, and community partnerships.
