BCJHS 8th Grade Students participated in the annual Reality Store Simulation on Wednesday, December 11th. The Reality Store Simulation provides students with a "real world" view of the financial and career choices they will soon be experiencing as young adults. A big thanks to Kathryn Kabe from the Career Resource Center and all of the community members who volunteered their time to make this a successful and memorable event for our students.

The BCJHS Biomedical students recently visited the IU Simon Cancer Research Center in Indianapolis. Our students were blessed to work with some world class cancer research doctors who provided some mentoring on their current projects about cancer. A big thanks to everyone at the IU Simon Cancer Research Center for their gracious hospitality!!
Congratulations to BCJHS December “Student of the Month” Brandon Saechao. Brandon was nominated by his Social Studies Teacher Mr. Schwenk. According to Mr. Schwenk, "Brandon has grown overwhelmingly in maturity and capability from his 7th grade year. He is engaged in class like never before. He has a positive attitude and is a class leader. He is maintain a great work ethic, participates during class in insightful ways, and presents a strong but humble self-confidence. I am immensely proud of the character he is developing.” Brandon’s picture will be displayed at BCJHS during the month of December and will also appear on the BCJHS school webpage. She participates in class, always completes her work, and is willing to help other students. She is a fine example of what we want to see in our students. She also did a great job of leading her group through the Cook Medical corporate problem." Congratulations to the BCJHS "We the People" Team!! They placed 2nd in the regional competition today to qualify for the state finals on December 10th in Indianapolis. Great job to the entire team and Coach Potts!!

Congratulations to BCJHS November “Student of the Month” Jade Woolems. Jade was nominated by his Physical Education Teacher Mr. Harmon. According to Mr. Harmon, "Jade is a quiet, well-mannered young man who works hard in class. Jade is an eager learner who has great integrity especially during busy classroom situations. He can hold a young adult conversation and the quality of his work is top rate. It is sometimes easy to overlook him because he is always doing the right thing." Congratulations to BCJHS November “Student of the Month” Violet Day. Violet was nominated by her Engineering Tech Teacher Mr. Lewellen. According to Mr. Lewellen, "Violet is one of the best students I have had the pleasure to teach. She is always willing to help others with their projects while still producing some of the best work in the class. Unfortunately a scheduling conflict kept her from being in our honors engineering class.
