Our BCJHS Science Olympiad Team participated in an Eagle Pride Walk to celebrate their regional championship and to wish them good luck at the state competition on Saturday, March 16th @ Indiana University.

Congratulations to Hayden Mosier!! He is the 2019 Western Indiana Conference Wrestling Champions at 150 lbs. Great job!! Congratulations also to Clay Austin who placed 2nd, Brayden Hedger who placed 3rd, Andy Weddle, Brady Parrish, Ethan Scott who placed 4th and Ethan Baker who placed 5th.
Congratulations to BCJHS 7th Grade Student Lexi Austin for winning the Patriot's Pen Regional Competition!! Patriot's Pen is an essay contest that is held each year with a different theme. This year's essay theme was "Why I Honor the American Flag".
Congratulations to BCJHS March “Student of the Month” Londyn Koester. London was nominated by her STEM Lab Teacher Ms. Lane and her Art Teacher Mrs. Roales. According to Ms. Lane, "Londyn is such a hard working and dedicated student. She comes into class day after day with a smile on her face ready to get to work. She is kind and helpful and in my opinion embodies all of our Eagle Expectations.” According to Mrs. Roales, “Londyn is a model student. She has balanced sports and her academic life and is a wonderful and genuine person overall. She participates in class and thinks outside the box. She is creative, respectful, and makes art a fun place to be.” Londyn’s picture will be displayed at BCJHS during the month of March and will also appear on the BCJHS school webpage. A special thanks to Waltman Construction for sponsoring the BCJHS “Student of the Month”. Londyn will be receiving a “Student of the Month” plaque compliments of Waltman Construction.

According to Mrs. Oliver, "Eli sets a great example for my 7th grade social studies students. He is prepared, engaged in class, a good collaborator, and writes thoughtfully. He also has a clever turn of phrase to share and seems to genuinely enjoy both school and his classmates. I can always count on him to be doing the highest quality work on time. In addition, he plays a mean chess game after school. The BCJHS Robotics Team participated in the Seymour Invitational on Saturday, February 23rd.
Congratulations to the 8th grade girls’ basketball team!! They defeated Sullivan last night to complete and undefeated season and win a 2nd consecutive conference title!!
