Congratulations to Mr. Finley, Mr. Lyng and all the BCJHS band and choir students for an outstanding concert On Wednesday, December 12th. It was amazing!!
Over the last month and a half, the 8th grade students has been participating in a Government in Action Simulation in Social Studies. Students have researched an issue that they think should be a law, drafted sample legislation, and then have simulated the process by which a bill become a law. A big thanks to Mr. Potts and Mr. Schwenk for organizing this amazing experience and to Senator Koch for taking time from his very busy schedule to hear some of our students formally present their bills!!
Congratulations to this year's BCJHS "We the People" team. They placed 2nd out of 14 schools that qualified for this year's state finals. We are very proud of them!!
This year's BCJHS STEM Showcase was held on Wednesday, December 5th in the Brown County Junior High Gymnasium. The showcase is designed to profile student work created using technology across multiple disciplines of learning as well as projects created using the engineering design process. A big thanks to all of our community STEM partners who participated in the event: NSWC Crane, Cummins, Faurecia, IVY Tech, Columbus Vocational Center, Purdue University, LHP Engineering Solutions, Mainstream Fiber Networks, Cook Medical, Performance Services, Regional Opportunity Initiative, Eagle Manufacturing, and Columbus Regional Hospital.
The Reality Store is an opportunity for students to think seriously about their future by experiencing some of the financial challenges they will face as adults. Additionally, this exercise also encourages students to think seriously about the level of education they will need in order to reach their future career goals. A big thanks to all of our community partners who make this event possible each year!

The BCJHS Student Council sponsored their annual Thanksgiving Food Drive November 12th - 19th to support our local Mother's Cupboard. Approximately 800 canned food items were collected. Thanks to everyone who supported this worthwhile cause!!
