PreK – Grade 12 Vaccination Clinic



PreK – Grade 12 Vaccination Clinic
The Brown County Health Department will be located onsite at Brown County High School in order to provide immunizations on Tuesday, July 30 between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m., and Wednesday, July 31 between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.
  • A nurse in the registration area will be able to look up immunization records.
  • A parent or guardian will need to be with the student if the student is younger than 18.
  • This clinic is open to all students.
  • Immunizations for grades Pre-K through 12 will be available.
  • No appointment needed.
The Brown County Health Department is now able to provide immunizations to people who have insurance.  As always, immunizations are also available for the uninsured, underinsured, or individuals receiving Medicaid. If you have insurance, you will need to bring your insurance card with you. Many thanks to the Brown County Health Department and our Corporation Nurse, Holly Gordon, for making this event happen!

The following information is to help with any questions you might have regarding 2019-2020 Registration and Open Houses. All BCJHS and BCHS students need to register for the upcoming school year. BCHS Registration  July 30 10:00 am - 6:00 pm and July 31  8:00 am - 4:00 pm BCJHS Registration July 30 8:00 am - 4:00 pm and July 31 10:00 am - 6:00 pm HES/SES/VBES/BCIS:  Any NEW students to Helmsburg Elementary School, Sprunica Elementary School, Van Buren Elementary School, and Brown County Intermediate School need to register at the school.  The offices are open beginning on July 22 at 8:00 am.  This applies to Preschool as well!  Students who were enrolled last school year do not need to register again. Open Houses BCHS:  August 7 from 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm BCJHS:  August 7 from 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm BCIS:  August 5 from 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm HES/SES/VBES:  August 5 from 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm BCHS Lilly Scholarship Meeting August 8 from 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Wednesday, May 29th - Last Student Day SOAR Behavior Reward Field Trip in May:  Students must earn the field trip by not having more than one discipline referral to the office from January 7th until the time of the field trip.  Students are also disqualified if they are suspended from school during the semester.   May Attendance Challenge Standings:  1st Place - Mr. Finley, 2nd Place - Mrs. Oliver, 3rd Place - Mrs. Stanley, 4th Place - Mrs. Phillips, 5th Place - Mr. Chastain The Character Education Theme for May is Citizenship.  People of good character don't sit on the sidelines.  Contribute your "fair share".  Participate fully as a concerned student, volunteer, and voter. SOAR Focus for the week of May 20th is "Growth Mindset" Indiana Sheriff's Association Youth Leadership Camp:  July 9-11 @ Waycross Episcopal Camp in Morgantown - Information and application are available in the BCJHS office Information for the Indiana University Summer Robotics Camp is available in the office.  These are two day camps held in June and July.  For more information and to register, visit goiu.edu/2avd. Information on Game Development Summer Camps @ Indiana University is available in the main office.  Learn more and register by May 27th @ gamecamp.indiana.edu. 8th Grade Formal:  Wednesday, May 29th from 7-10pm @ Salt Creek Golf Retreat.  Admission is $10.  This event is open to BCJHS 8th grade students only. BCJHS Awards Program & Talent Show:  Wednesday, May 29th - 7th grade awards @ 8:30am / 8th grade awards @ 9:30am / Talent Show @ 1pm A reminder to our 7th grade athletes that this nine week grades will be used to determine eligibility for fall sports next school year. Information about girls’ soccer is available in the BCJHS main office. Summer Calendars for boys’ basketball players are available in the BCJHS office.  This is for any 8th grade boy interested in playing at the high school next year. Summer events begin on June 3rd.   Information for the Lady Eagles Summer Basketball and Volleyball Camps is available in the office.  These camps for for girls in incoming grades 2-8. Challenger International Soccer Camp sponsored by the Brown County Parks & Recreation:  June 10th-14th - Registration forms are available in the BCJHS office.
