NHS Tutoring



Do you need help in some of your classes? National Honor Society is here to help! Starting Monday open tutoring sessions will take place during advisory every day in the library. Simply get a pass from your teacher and come see us! If you would like a tutor before or after school, sign up for a time on the Google form found in your advisory course on Canvas and we will contact you.

If you are part of the Footloose cast, you will have rehearsal after school today from 3:30-4:30pm Regional Chess Competition:  If you are interested in participating in a regional chess tournament, see Mrs. Oliver.  She will be organizing teams of 4 players for the tournament which is on February 23rd in Evansville.  Practices will be on Mondays and Fridays from 3-4pm. Please sign up on Mrs. Oliver’s door by next Wednesday, January 23rd.   7th & 8th Boys’ Basketball will practice today from 5-6:30pm.  The teams will participate in the WIC Tournament tomorrow, Saturday, January 19th.  The 7th grade will play @ Owen Valley @ 10am and the 8th grade will play @ Edgewood @ 10am. 7th & 8th Girls’ Basketball will practice after school today until 5pm.  The teams will participate in the Columbus Central Invitational tomorrow, Saturday, January 19th.  The tournament begins @ 9:30am. Wrestling will practice after school until 5pm @ BCI.  The wrestling invitational scheduled for tomorrow, Saturday, January 19th has been postponed.

1. M.K.Watkins,local artist, is coming to have a painting session on BC back roads scenes.
2. Donna Shields, local sewing artist, is starting sewing session.
3. Nathan Dillon continues guitar/ band session 4:30-5:30 @ BETA.
4. Brenda Krieger, retired teacher, starts tutoring at BETA from 3:00-5:30.
5. Field trip to Hope for Hearts horse farm
 On Tue 2/5 by school bus 4-6 pm.
* Beta's 2 pages permission slips NEED TO BE TURNED INTO OFFICE OR BETA.
** Horse Farm's 2 pages waiver forms must be signed by parents or guardians before and will be available at the school office.

National Junior Honor Society is sponsoring a "Neon and Crazy Sock" Dance this Friday, January 11th from 3-5pm - Admission is $5 Any student who would like to participate in the BCJHS Spelling Bee should sign up with Mrs. Cochran or Mrs. Stanley by today, Friday, January 11th.  The school competition will be held during 1st period on Friday, January 18th.  The winner will represent BCJHS at the Scripps Regional Spelling Bee. 8th Boys’ Basketball will practice today from 3:45-5pm at the high school 7th Boys’ Basketball will practice today from 4-5:30pm at the high school 7th & 8th Boys’ Basketball will participate in the Western Indiana Conference Tournament tomorrow, Saturday, January 12th.  The 8th grade will play Indian Creek @ Edgewood @ 10am.
