I graduated from Purdue University in 1991 with a BA in History and then graduated in 1992 with a BA in Social Studies education.  I started teaching at Brown County High School in the fall of 1992.  As a teacher, I taught World History, Government, Media and Society, and Current Issues.  In February of 2002, I became the Assistant Principal at BCHS and then became Principal for the 2002-03 school year.  In 2013, I moved to Illinois and became Principal of Urbana High School.  I returned to BCHS as Principal in July of 2018.
I am honored to be part of Brown County Schools and specifically Brown County High School. BCHS offers a variety of curricular and extra curricular programs.  We continue to look for ways to help our students advance and realize their potential.  I hope support  students and staff in finding ways to continue to grow.

I am really excited to begin my tenure as the assistant principal here at the high school. I am beginning my 4th year in Brown County Schools and couldn’t be happier with my decision to come and work here. We have an amazing community and school system that I am proud to be a part of.

I spent the first 17 years of my career in education as an English teacher. I have coached basketball in some capacity each of those years and have been a varsity coach for the last 12 years. This year I am moving from the classroom and into administration and I couldn’t be more excited for the new opportunity. In addition, my wife, Jaimie, and I are expecting our first child (a girl!) in December. Jaimie works in Greenwood as an occupational therapist. It’s definitely both a busy and exciting time in our household.

I am looking forward to a great school year and hope to meet as many students and parents as possible at various events throughout the year. If I can ever be of any help to you at all please let me know. Let’s have a great year and Go Eagles!
