CRC OF BROWN COUNTY STEERING COMMITTEE MEETING February 13, 2019   CRC Mission: The Brown County Career Resource Center (CRC) offers educational opportunities, individual counseling, and career-related services intended to improve quality of life and earning potential through lifelong learning. The individual benefits provided by the CRC become a cumulative benefit for the community as a whole, both economically and through inter-generational transfer.

Parent Cafe, an opportunity for parents to share and learn together, presents its meeting schedule for February. We are off to a great start so far this year. Several counties have seen significant growth, and we have had some really powerful programing this month. Please do keep sharing with others in your agencies and any family you know who could use the peer support. Attached is information on my upcoming Parent Cafes in the January. In addition to my cafe schedule, there is a flyer for an upcoming Provider Cafe Lunch & Learn in Bedford on January 22nd. This is a great opportunity for social service providers to experience what a Parent Cafe is like while networking with other providers. As a result of the Ready Schools Grant, Brown County Schools has been fortunate to partner with The National Center for College & Career Transitions (NC3T) to begin the development of a pathway model for our students. Attached is information on our November parent programming.  Please note that the date for the Bloomington cafe is different.  Typically, we hold this cafe on the 3rd Wednesday evening of the month, but in November that will fall too closely to Thanksgiving. Brown County Schools invites you to our annual Veterans Day Program.  Join us in the Larry C. Banks Memorial Gymnasium at Brown County High School on Friday, November 9th at 9:30AM.  We'll be streaming LIVE as well.  The link to the stream will be posted closer to program day.   Guest Speaker: CDR Keith Baker Veterans Social Hour - 8:30AM Doors open to public - 9:00AM Students/staff assemble - 9:15AM Program begins - 9:30AM Luncheon for Veterans and their families to follow the program.   2018 Invitation
