The BCJHS Student Council sponsored their annual Thanksgiving Food Drive November 12th - 19th to support our local Mother's Cupboard.  Approximately 800 canned food items were collected.  Thanks to everyone who supported this worthwhile cause!!Food Drive 1Food Drive 2


We the People Place 2nd at Regional Competition



We the People Place 2nd at Regional Competition
The BCJHS We the People Team placed 2nd at the regional competition on Saturday, November 17th @ Hamilton Southeastern HS.  The 2nd place finish allowed the team to advance to the state finals on Tuesday, December 11th in Indianapolis. Great job to Mr. Potts and the Team!!WTP Regional

BCJHS Thanskgiving Lunch:  Tuesday, November 20th @ 10:54am and 12pm.  Please check with your child to determine their lunch time.  Cost is $8 for adult meals.

Tuesday, November 20th            BCJHS Thanksgiving Dinner:  Tuesday, November 20th @ 10:54am and 12pm - adult meal price is $8  SOAR Behavior Reward Field Trip in December:  Students must earn the field trip by not having more than one discipline referral to the office from September 4th until the time of the field trip.  Students are also disqualified if they are suspended from school during the semester.   November Attendance Challenge Standings:  1st Place - Mr. Schwenk, 2nd Place - Mrs. Stanley, 3rd Place - Mrs. Oliver, 4th Place - Mr. Wilcoxen, 5th Place - Mrs. Sumner The Character Education Theme for September is Trustworthiness.  Trust can't be granted; it can only be earned.  Deliver on your promises.  Act honestly at every turn. Our SOAR focus for this week is "Respectful". Mid-Term Progress Report Check:  Parents are reminded that this Wednesday, November 14th marks the mid-term of this 9 week grading period.  Please take time to review your child's grades and contact teacher if you have questions or concerns. Robotics Club:  NO practice today Book Club will meet today during 1st lunch 7th & 8th Grade Boys' Basketball will practice today from 3-5:30pm @ BCI 7th & 8th Grade Girls' Basketball will practice after school today until 5pm

BCJHS Students Work on Communication Skills



A big thanks to Cook Medical Engineers Carrie Grant and Pat McElhaney for spending their entire day with our students working on communication skills.  Students were introduced to some basic communication exercises that Cook Medical uses through their Toastmasters Program.  Toastmasters is a national organization that focuses on developing strong communication skills in individuals.  Carrie GrantPat McElhaney
