BCJHS Announcements



Friday, September 21st          Parent/Teacher Conferences:  Tuesday, October 23rd from 5:30-7:30pm  7th Grade Students just completed a two week interdisciplinary unit entitled "Water Insecurity".  The driving question for this unit was "How do people around the globe gain access to clean water?"   As a culminating activity, we will be raising money for clean water wells in Sudan.  Our goal is to raise $2,000.  We will be having a walk-a thon on September 28th during PE classes to help raise funds.  Donations are also being accepted on the BCJHS Facebook Page. SOAR Behavior Reward Field Trip in December:  Students must earn the field trip by not having more than one discipline referral to the office from September 4th until the time of the field trip.  Students are also disqualified if they are suspended from school during the semester.   September Attendance Challenge Standings:  1st Place - Mrs. Hendey, Mrs. Sumner, Mr. Schwenk, 4th Place - Mrs. Stanley, 5th Place - Mrs. Oliver The Character Education Theme for September is RESPECT.  Respect for yourself and others is an important part of good character.  Without respect, caring and empathy are empty expressions. Our SOAR focus for this week is "S" for self-control. Global Citizens Club will meet today @ 7:20am History Club will begin meeting each Thursday after school.  The first meeting will be Thursday, September 27th.  Please see Mrs. Oliver for information and a permission form. BCJHS Pep Session:  Friday, September 21st @ 2pm - Spirit Days:  Thursday - Twin Day  /  Friday - Blue & Gold Day 7th & 8th Volleyball will participate in the Jennings County Invitational tomorrow, Saturday, September 22nd @ 9am

Global Citizens Club



Global Citizens Club
Global Citizens Club is a joint venture with Indiana University.  This new club will connect our students with students in China through video conferencing.  Students share and discuss global topics one on one in real time.  The club is sponsored by Mrs. Oliver and Mrs. Phillips.  Global Citizens 2Global Citizens

The Health Office has a collection of eye glasses in their lost and found.  If you are missing a pair of glasses, please stop by the Health Office today and speak with Mrs. Thompson.
