Tuesday, February 11th         

Monday, February 17th – No School – President’s Day

SOAR Behavior Reward Field Trip in May:  Students must earn the field trip by not having more than one discipline referral to the office from January 6th until the time of the field trip.  Students are also disqualified if they are suspended from school during the semester.  

February Attendance Challenge Standings:  1st Place – Mrs. Oliver, 2nd Place – Mr. Potts, 3rd Place – Mr. De Leon, 4th Place – Mr. Harmon, 5th Place – Mrs. Owens

The Character Education Theme for February is Responsibility.  Your sense of responsibility is what compels you to do the right thing, follow through on your promises, and be accountable for your actions.

After School Tutoring:  Mondays and Wednesdays from 3-4pm.  Please contact the BCJHS office at 988-6605 to confirm a spot.

Mid-Term Grades:  Wednesday, February 5th – Parents are encouraged to check student grades and contact teachers with any questions.     

Information about the Nextech Explorers Summer Camp on June 8-11th at Butler University is available in the main office.  This is a great camp for students interested in computer science careers.

Career Education for February:  Computer & Information Technology and Biomedical

Student Council Dance:  Friday, February 14th from 3-5pm.  Admission is $5

Congratulations to the BCJHS National Science Olympiad Team!!  They placed 2nd in the regional competition on Saturday to qualify for the state competition.  Great job!!

Any student interested in being part of the ELA academic team should plan to meet in room 15 (Mrs. Phillips) after school next Tuesday, February 11th until 4pm

Math Academic Team:  If you are interested in joining the team please attend a call-out meeting on Wednesday, February 19th from 3-4pm in room 06.  There is a sign-up sheet on Mr. Koopman’s door (room 06)

Get Schooled Convocation:  Thursday, February 13th @ 10am

BCJHS National Science Olympiad will not practice until Tuesday, February 18th

Girls’ Basketball will travel to Bloomington Tri North today.  The games will begin at 6pm.

Wrestling will practice today from 4-6pm @ BCI
