BCJHS Announcements



Wednesday, January 15th           

SOAR Behavior Reward Field Trip in May:  Students must earn the field trip by not having more than one discipline referral to the office from January 6th until the time of the field trip.  Students are also disqualified if they are suspended from school during the semester.  

January Attendance Challenge Standings:  1st Place – Mr. De Leon, 2nd Place – Mr. Schwenk, 3rd Place – Mrs. Oliver, 4th Place – Mr. Finley, 5th Place – Mr. Potts

The Character Education Theme for January is Fairness.  Fairness is not favoring one above another.  Fairness is to see things from the other side or other point of view.  Fairness is getting to know someone without pre-judging them.

Grade Cards were mailed home on, Monday, January 13th

After School Tutoring:  Mondays and Wednesdays from 3-4pm.  Please contact the BCJHS office at 988-6605 to confirm a spot.

Congratulations to the members of our chess club who qualified for the state competition this past Saturday:  William Sebastian, Liam Cassiday, Caleb Clifford, Wesley Arndt, Vince Tom. Well done!! 

Career Education:  Friday, January 17th during health/physical education classes.  The topic is careers in cybersecurity.

BCJHS Yearbooks:  $25 – order by Friday, February 7th (students received information during homeroom on Tuesday, January 14th)

All second semester schedule change requests were due last Friday, January 10th.     

Anyone interested in joining the Brown County Jr. Fishing Team should attend an informational meeting on 1/16/20 in the high school commons area. The meeting is scheduled to start at 6:00pm.

Softball Open Gym @ BCHS – Thursday, January 16th 

Information about the YMCA Youth Swim League is available in the main office.

Boys’ Basketball will practice today from 5-6:30pm

Girls’ Basketball will practice today from 3-5pm

Wrestling will practice today from 4-5:30pm @ BCI
