Friday, May 10th            

SOAR Behavior Reward Field Trip in May:  Students must earn the field trip by not having more than one discipline referral to the office from January 7th until the time of the field trip.  Students are also disqualified if they are suspended from school during the semester.  

May Attendance Challenge Standings:  1st Place – Mr. Wilcoxen, 2nd Place – Mrs. Stanley, 3rd Place – Mrs. Mannix, 4th Place – Mr. Harmon, 5th Place – Mr. Chastain

The Character Education Theme for May is Citizenship.  People of good character don’t sit on the sidelines.  Contribute your “fair share”.  Participate fully as a concerned student, volunteer, and voter.

SOAR Focus for the week of May 6th is “Growth Mindset”

Indiana Sheriff’s Association Youth Leadership Camp:  July 9-11 @ Waycross Episcopal Camp in Morgantown – Information and application are available in the BCJHS office

Permission forms and payment for the 7th Grade SOAR Behavior Reward Field Trip to Big Splash on Tuesday, May 28th is due on Friday, May 17th.  Permission forms and payment will not be accepted after this date.  The payment and reservation are due to Big Splash on the 17th.

Track & Field will participate in the Western Indiana Championships tomorrow, Saturday, May 11th @ South Putnam HS.  The gates will open at 10am.  The first running events are scheduled to begin at 11am.

Girls’ Tennis will host Oolitic today @ 5pm

Summer Calendars for boys’ basketball players are available in the BCJHS office.  This is for any 8th grade boy interested in playing at the high school next year. Summer events begin on June 3rd.  

Sports Physicals for students entering grades 9-12 will be conducted on Wednesday, May 22nd from 6-7:45pm in the high school gym.  The cost is $20.  Registration begins at 5:30pm.  Students must be accompanied by a parent/guardian to complete the required IHSAA form.

Challenger International Soccer Camp sponsored by the Brown County Parks & Recreation:  June 10th-14th – Registration forms are available in the BCJHS office.
