BCJHS Announcements



Tuesday, February 5th    

SOAR Behavior Reward Field Trip in May:  Students must earn the field trip by not having more than one discipline referral to the office from January 7th until the time of the field trip.  Students are also disqualified if they are suspended from school during the semester.  

January Final Attendance Challenge Standings:  1st Place – Mrs. Stanley, 2nd Place – Mrs. Oliver, 3rd Place – Mr. Finley, 4th Place – Mr. Harmon, 5th Place – Mr. Chastain

The Character Education Theme for February is Responsibility.  Your sense of responsibility is what compels you to do the right thing.  Follow through on your promises and be accountable for your actions. Personal rights are only possible in they are accompanied by responsibility.

SOAR Focus for the week of February 4th is “R” for Respectful

Congratulations to the BCJHS National Science Olympiad Team!  They placed 1st at the Regional Competition this past Saturday!

Congratulations to Abby Williams and Aubrey Harden!  They received a silver and a gold rating at the ISSMA Vocal & Ensemble Competition on January 26th.

Congratulations to the BCJHS Band Students on some great performances this past Saturday at the ISSMA competition:  Wesley Bethards, Shelby Gaither, Zach Reed, Alyson Pennington, Jackson O’Shea – Gold Rating / Quartet of Naje Badja, Alyson Pennington, Victoria Klaker, Ava Clarke – Gold Rating / Dylan Taylor, Ava Clarke – Silver Rating

Yearbooks are on sale in the main office.  The cost is $25. You may order them through February 15th.

Student Council Meeting:  February 8th during 1st period

Student Council Executive Meeting:  Tuesday, February 5th during 2nd lunch in room S2

7th Grade NJHS Members:  Meeting at the beginning of 5th period today in the library.  Check in with your 5th period teacher first for attendance.

Student Council Valentine’s Day Dance:  Friday, February 8th from 3-5pm. Admission is $4

7th & 8th Girls’ Basketball will host Bloomington Tri North today @ 6pm

Wrestling will practice after school today until 5:30pm @ BCI
