BCJHS Announcements

Wednesday, January 9th  

SOAR Behavior Reward Field Trip in May:  Students must earn the field trip by not having more than one discipline referral to the office from January 7th until the time of the field trip.  Students are also disqualified if they are suspended from school during the semester.  

December Attendance Challenge Final Standings:  1st Place – Mr. Stanley, 2nd Place – Mrs. Phillips, 3rd Place – Mr. Schwenk, 4th Place – Mr. Chastain, 5th Place – Mrs. Hendey

The Character Education Theme for January is Fairness.  Fairness is not favoring one above another.  Fairness is to see things from the other side or other point of view.  Fairness is getting to know someone without pre-judging them.

SOAR Focus for the week of January 7th is “S” for Self-Control

Lost & Found is overflowing.  Students are encouraged to check the tables in the cafeteria this week for missing items.

Grade Cards will be mailed home on Friday, January 11th

Students who are interested in changing their elective choices for 2nd semester should see Mrs. Pruitt for a schedule change request form. Requests must be made by this Friday, January 11th.

Any student missing a pair of glasses should see Mrs. Thompson in the health office.

National Junior Honor Society is sponsoring a “Neon and Crazy Sock” Dance this Friday, January 11th from 3-5pm – Admission is $5

Any student who would like to participate in the BCJHS Spelling Bee should sign up with Mrs. Cochran or Mrs. Stanley by this Friday, January 11th.  The school competition will be held during 1st period on Friday, January 18th.  The winner will represent BCJHS at the Scripps Regional Spelling Bee.

7th & 8th Grade Boys’ Basketball will practice today from 5-6:30pm 

7th & 8th Grade Girls’ Basketball will practice today from 3-5pm.  Congratulations to the 8th grade team!  They defeated Brownstown Central last night.  Great job ladies!

Wrestling will practice after school today until 5pm @ BCI
