BCJHS Announcements

Friday, November 9th                           

SOAR Behavior Reward Field Trip in December:  Students must earn the field trip by not having more than one discipline referral to the office from September 4th until the time of the field trip.  Students are also disqualified if they are suspended from school during the semester.  

November Attendance Challenge Standings:  1st Place – Mr. Schwenk, 2nd Place – Mr. Finley, 3rd Place – Mr. Wilcoxen, 4th Place – Mrs. Sumner, 5th Place – Mr. Potts

The Character Education Theme for September is Trustworthiness.  Trust can’t be granted; it can only be earned.  Deliver on your promises.  Act honestly at every turn.

Our SOAR focus for this week is “On-Task”.

Are you interested in playing chess and want to meet others who also enjoy it?  Are you interested in learning how to play? Mrs. Oliver will be sponsoring a chess club the next four Tuesdays beginning next week.  The club will meet in room 04 from 3-4pm. If you have a chess set of your own, please bring it to the meeting. There will be a chess tournament at the end of the four weeks.

National Science Olympiad Meeting:  Monday, November 12th @ 8:55am

Student Council Thanksgiving Food Drive:  November 5th through November 16th.  We will be collecting non-perishable food items for our local Mother’s Cupboard.

BCS Veteran’s Day Program:  Friday, November 9th @ 9:30am

1st Quarter Grade Cards were issued to all students on Friday, October 19th

Wrestling Practice will begin after school on Monday, November 12th in the Brown County Intermediate School Wrestling Room.  There will be a short parent meeting following practice at 5:15pm.

7th & 8th Grade Girls’ Basketball will practice after school today until 5pm

7th & 8th Grade Boys’ Basketball will practice after school today until 4:30pm at the intermediate school.  Congratulations to the 7th grade team!!  They defeated Edinburgh last night 40-10.  Great job!
