Final Exams:  Wednesday, May 30th (Language Arts, Social Studies, Arts)   Thursday, May 31st (Math, Science, Wellness)   Friday, June 1st (make-up exams)

BCJHS Awards Program:  Friday June 1st:  7th grade @ 8:30am / 8th grade @ 9:30am

BCJHS Talent Show:  Friday June 1st @ 1pm

High School Drama Awards Program:  Saturday, May 26th from 5:30-9pm.  The cost is $5 per person.  All students who participated in this year’s shows (Another Part and Addams Family) and their parents are invited to attend.  A potluck dinner will begin in the cafeteria where the Akiddamy Awards will be presented.  The remaining awards will be presented in the auditorium following the potluck dinner.  Please bring a dish to share for dinner before 5:30pm.

All library books were due last Friday, May 18th.  If you have books that you have not returned, please do so today.  No new books may be checked out of the library for the remainder of the school year.

Information for Sylvan Learning Summer Camps and Tutoring is available in the main office.

May Attendance Challenge:  Current Standings – 1st place (Mr. Wilcoxen), 2nd place (Ms. Pearson), 3rd place (Mrs. Bontrager), 4th place (Ms. Lane), 5th place (Mrs. Stanley)

8th Grade Formal:  Friday, June 1st @ Salt Creek Golf Retreat from 7-10pm.  Admission is $10.  Information was sent home with every 8th grade student on Tuesday, May 22nd

Our Character Education theme for the month of May  is “Citizenship”.   People of strong character don’t sit on the sidelines.  Contribute your “fair share” – participate fully as a concerned student, volunteer, and future voter.

Our SOAR focus this week is “A” (accountable)

Information about summer open gym for basketball is available in the BCJHS office as well as information about the summer running club.

BC Tennis Camp:  Tuesday, May 29th – Thursday May 31st from 3:30-4:30pm @ the high school tennis courts.  The camp is open to current BCI, BCJHS, and BCHS students.  The cost is $5

Athletes who need to wait after school for the start of a contest or practice are not permitted to leave school grounds unless accompanied by a parent.  After school supervision will be provided for all athletes in the BCJHS cafeteria.
